Gilt Training – a safe first step

Prepare your gilts for the feeding stations with a simple and effective training solution

A smooth transition to the gestation unit

Confident animals deliver stronger results

Simple design – effective learning

When gilts are moved to the gestation unit, it’s essential that they are already familiar with using the entry and exit gates.
With FREEDA Gilt Training, the animals quickly and intuitively learn to pass through, so they’re ready for Walk Through and Dynamic Separation systems from day one.
The result is less stress, less work, and a calmer herd.

Practice makes perfect

Feed and water are placed on opposite sides of a training pen, and to reach them, the gilts must pass through both entry and exit modules.
The gates can be set to remain more open at first and gradually adjusted to their normal position.
This way, the animals learn to operate the gates on their own – quickly and without force.

Benefits for both animals and staff

With Gilt Training, the transition to the gestation unit becomes seamless.
The animals are already familiar with the system, and staff save time on training and handling.
This means calmer animals, less stress, and a more efficient production flow.

FREEDA Gilt Training is a simple solution that quickly pays off – in time, calmness, and improved production results.
When gilts are already familiar with the gates, both animals and staff get an easier start.

Which solution fits your needs?

FREEDA Walk Through is ideal when you want calm, stable groups and a well-structured feeding pattern.
